Op 11 januari organiseerde Bonapa voor alle au pairs in Nederland een leuk schaatsuitje. Iets typisch Nederlands en een leuke manier om elkaar te leren kennen.

Last Saturday we went Ice skating with some of our Au Pairs. These Au Pairs are from all over the world and are staying with our Host families. It was a moment for us and also for the Au Pairs to meet each other. Some Au Pairs had never been on skates before so it was unbelievable how good they actually were! But the most important thing: they had a lot of fun with each other. It has been an amazing day and we hope to see all on our next trip!

Our first meeting of the year has taken place last Saturday on the 19th of January. A small group of au pairs from all over the world bravely signed up for our annual ice skate meeting. How exciting it must have been for them, because 90% of the au pairs that joined us had never been on skates before.

Volendam meeting Au Pair Holland

On Saturday the 2nd of June we went with a big group of Au Pairs to the famous and traditional city Volendam. Firstly we met each other at the Central train station of Amsterdam where from we traveled by bus to the wooden shoe and cheese factory. There the Au Pairs could see how the Dutch make their cheese and wooden shoes in the traditional way. Most of the Au Pairs decided to buy wooden shoes there selves, to show their families and friends! After this visit we went to the harbor of Volendam where we went to the photo studio to make a group picture in real traditional clothes. At last but not least we went to the Volendam museum where the Au Pairs learned things about the history of Volendam. Due to the unexpected good weather, the great Au Pairs and the nice activities it was a wonderful day! We had a lot of fun and hope you have had too. Looking forward seeing you at the next outing!

Afgelopen zaterdag verzamelden 17 Au Pairs en Amanda van Travel Active zich in Utrecht voor een gezellige dag. Op het programma stond het beklimmen van de Domtoren beklimmen en een speurtocht door Utrecht.

Sinterklaas brengt een bezoekje aan Au Pair Holland

This year Sinterklaas visited our Au Pairs again for the special Au Pair meeting in Arnhem! It was a great day, luckily no snow this year therefore everyone could come over to Hotel Haarhuis on time. Sinterklaas told stories to all Au Pairs about what happened the last year/weeks/days. Some Au pairs where about the go back to their home country and others just arrived in Holland, so this was a great opportunity to meet new friends! After Sinterklaas told a story about the Au Pair, she received a nice little present. It was a great meeting with our Dutch culture and it was very nice seeing you! We added some pictures of you on our website, so take a look at it and hope to see you again during the next meeting in January! Enjoy the ‘Sinterklaas time’ with your host family!
